Once again neither the Obama justice department nor all the attorney generals for every state in the country…not one of them seems to be able to do basic math. And that is great for us.
Let’s just review the metrics:
There is a 10 trillion dollar fraud perpetrated over a decade…effecting 10s of millions of families. Costing millions of people their jobs as well as their homes, and throws an entire country into an economic tailspin. But we made a lot of money.
What is the appropriate action?
A) send the CEOs to jail. As if!
B) claw back every bit of their ill gotten gains– not going to happen!
C) give every one immunity — interesting.
D) come up with a number that sounds really big for a settlement
Or E) C and D…

$25 billion dollar settlement
Well that sounds like a big number…let’s go with it because even though it sounds big to Joe the Plumber that’s what we borrow, at zero percent, from the Federal Reserve each and every day…Do we mind taking a day off? No! What does 25 billion dollars mean to us– to the entire Wall Street community? It’s 1 bonus pool for 1 bank for 1 year. For fraud that went on for nearly a decade? Pleasure doing business with you.
