I am so excited about the leading edge innovators in the modern economy. Look at the progressive modern marvel that is Apple manufacturing. They are bringing capitalism back to where it all started…
And ironically it is happening overseas…where they don’t have to deal with any of those pesky laws that interfere with our bottom line…they don’t have to worry about worker safety, worker rights, pensions, healthcare, any of that waste that goes to workers and not management.
Look what they are able to do in China where an authoritarian government understands business.
They had a problem with the glass screens on the iphone just before they were set to release them so, “the foreman woke 8,000 worker’s inside the company dorm. They were all given some tea and crackers, they were marched to a work station and put on a mandatory 12 hour shift and within 96 hours those new age model employees had produced 10,000 iphones. Cha ching!!!
I mean the speed and flexibility is enviable. That could never happen in am American plant.
First off they won’t come in for a 12 hour shift at midnight on a moment’s notice…and they are certainly not going to put that 12 hour shift in without overtime…
And these Americans absolutely refuse to live in company dormitories,…and they would laugh at you if you offered to pay them 70 cents an hour.
America can learn a lot from China. And at my next round of board meetings I am going to propose bringing back the company town, 16 hour mandatory work periods, and no overtime…but I am just not sold on the tea and crackers idea…And for our new towns over the gates I already have a slogan in mind:
Arbeit mach frei
Work will set us free.
This is how you make $400,000 profit on each employee. And if you can’t do that—why get up in the morning?
